Here are several use cases for roles many organizations and teams. Experiment with the combinations of Filters.

Business Development Rep or Sales Development Rep

Need to surface Opportunities and Accounts that have not been touched in 90 days (or dead, closed lost opportunities)?

  1. If appropriate, select the [Stage], and select the appropriate stage(s).
  2. Then, select the [Does not have][Meetings] and [Does not have][Emails]. 
  3. Also, select the [No next meeting or task] to ensure there were no scheduled follow-ups.
  4. Set the date range [90 days ago] to [today].

What new opportunities have been created, and forgotten to log call notes?

  1. Select the [Stage] filter selecting the stage you typically use for demo set.
  2. Add [Does not have] [Notes added].
  3. Set the date range [7 days ago] to [today].

What meetings did the team set last month?

  1. Select [Has][Meetings][Created].
  2. Set the date range [beginning of last month] to [end of last month].

Account Executive

What meetings occurred over the last two weeks with no associated follow-up?

  1. Select [Has][Meetings][Occurred or scheduled].
  2. Select [No next meeting or task].
  3. Set the date range [14 days ago] to [today].

What deals do I own that are to close this month where I haven't had any activities in the last week?

  1. Select [Close date], and enter into the resulting filter range [today] to [end of this month].
  2. Select [Opportunity owner] and select your name. Note: the list of owners derived from Salesforce's Opportunities and Account owners.
  3. Select [Does not have][Meetings].
  4. Select [Does not have][Tasks].
  5. Select [Does not have][Emails].
  6. Select [Does not have][Documents].
  7. Select [Does not have][Notes].
  8. Set the date range [last week] to [today].

What opportunities do I own that I have meetings with next week?

  1. Select [Opportunity owner], and select your name. Note: the list of owners derived from Salesforce's Opportunities and Account owners.
  2. Select [Has][Meetings].
  3. Set the date range [today] to [7 days from today].

Implementation/ Customer Success/ Account Management

What opportunities are closing this month?

  1. Select [Close date], and enter into the resulting filter range [beginning of this month] to [end of this month].
  2. **Extra credit: add additional filters such as [Has][Email] activity or [Has][Meeting] activity to gauge if the deal is on the happy path to close.

What accounts closed last month with no meeting set?

  1. Select [Close date], and enter into the resulting filter range [beginning of last month] to [end of last month].
  2. Select [Stage], and select the appropriate Salesforce stage(s) signifying a closed won opportunity.
  3. Select [No next meeting or task].

What accounts we have won that have not had any touch-points (meetings or emails) in the last 30 days?

  1. Select [Stage] and select the appropriate Salesforce stage(s) signifying a closed won opportunity.
  2. Select [Does not have][Meetings].
  3. Select [Does not have][Email].
  4. Set the date range [30 days ago] to [today].

Sales Leader

What meetings does my sales team have next week?

  1. Select [Owner], and select the appropriate sales team members from the resulting list.
  2. Select [Has][Meetings].
  3. Set the date range [today] to [1 week from now].

What deals are to close by the end of this quarter with no scheduled follow-up?

  1. Select [Close date], and set the resulting date range to [today] to [end of this quarter].
  2. Select [No next meeting or task].

What opportunities are greater than 80% probability of closing, and are forecasted to close by the end of this month (which is two weeks away), and have had no meeting or email activity in the last week?

  1. Select [Close date], and set the resulting date range to [today] to [two weeks from now].
  2. Select [Probability], and from the resulting window, select [Greater than], and enter [80].
  3. Select [Does not have][Meetings].
  4. Select [Does not have][Emails].
  5. Set the date range to [1 week ago] to [today].

So many combinations... to fit your needs and your team's.

Remember, you can save your query by simply selecting the Save Query button at the bottom.
